The Nokia Astound, formally known as the C7 around the world will release April 6th on T-Mobile. Interestingly enough, we’re told to expect around 4 more Nokia Symbian devices on T-Mobile this year with Windows Phone 7 devices not expected until 2012. The original version of Nokia C7 is sold in India at an approximate price of Rs 19,490 since October/November last year. The Nokia C7, which is said to be codenamed the Tiger, is to be released on April 6 as the Nokia Astound. some info on the price tag of this device also emerged, suggesting it will be available on contract at T-Mobile for around $79.99, after mail-in rebate.

Availabe in 3 colors: Charcoal black, Frosty metal, Mahogany brown. Nokia Astound has not got very good reviews, due to the Symbian platform it has been clinging on to, and Gingerbread has been stipulated as a better choice. Perhaps the coming days will actually tell it. The Android phones have had an edge since quite some time
