Mike Hussey makes comeback to Australian World Cup Squad 2011 Australain’s middle order batsman Michael Hussey makes a comeback in the Australian World Cup squad 2011 after the selectors named him as the replacement player for the injured Doug Bollinger.

Mike Hussey who failed to make his place in the Australia’s 15 men World Cup 2011 squad before the start of the mega event due to hamstring injury, was recalled by the Australian selectors to replace the injured bowler Doug Bollinger. Bollinger was sent back home suffering with an ankle injury. The Australian selectors has decided to take this chance with an extra batsman rather than filling up their fast bowling stocks. However, pacer Dirt Nannes will also join the squad as a standby player.

Mike Hussey has successfully recovered from the hamstring injury. His skills, experience and ability to play against spin can help the Australian team to win the tournament.

Mike Hussey inclusion in the team can boost the Australian middle order, which seems to struggling to build up partnerships. Mike Hussey’s may play in place of either Cameron White or his younger brother Davi Hussey.

Australia team is at the third position of the Group A, after their victories against Zimbabwe and New Zealand. Also won a single point against Sri Lankan, were the match was stopped due to rain and both the Sri Lankans and Australian were given one point each.

Australia will now play against Kenya on 13th march 2011
